It’s very clear that a surgeon cannot get good results by applying Caucasian rhinoplasty techniques on the face of African-American, Asian, Native American or Middle Eastern patients. You must consider this if you are a member of this group of people and seeking for rhinoplasty.

As Rebornia plastic surgery team, we want to share our experience and knowledge of ethnic rhinoplasty with you in Istanbul, Turkiye. We believe that the best results depend on the unique characteristics and goals of every individual patient.

Our main goal in Rebornia is considering the relationship of your forehead to your nose, width of your nose, shape of your eyes, your mouth and cheekbones to give you more harmonious look after nose job procedure.

We choose to perform no scar (closed) rhinoplasty in our practice. The reason we choose no-scar rhinoplasty is that open rhinoplasty technique has a slow healing process and high scar visibility on ethnic noses.

Ethnic noses need cartilage grafts which are taken from the patient’s rib or ear to give them a more projected nose and increase the radix area.

We take rib cartilage graft through a 1-2 cm (0.5 inch) skin incision below from the chest wall. Female patients are luckier than male patients because surgeons can hide the incision scar in the breast fold with female patients.

We can use cadaveric cartilage instead of rib or ear cartilage to correct the deformities on the patient’s nose if they don’t want an incision under their chest wall.
